Covid-19

Prudential provides free 30 day cover for clients hospitalized due to Covid-19.

Dear Valued Customer,
We hope that you are keeping safe during these unprecedented times. As you are aware, Uganda is going through its second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, we understand that these are unusual times for everyone in the communities in which we live and work.

We have been at the forefront of standing with our customers for over 100 years, in both good and bad times. Our commitment to our clients is part of our DNA and that is why we have taken the decision to offer our customers a free Covid-19 cover from 14th June to 13th September 2021. If you are an existing policyholder under our Individual Life, Group Life or Group Medical policies, and your contributions/premiums are up to date, and are hospitalized due to Covid, Prudential will support you with a daily hospitalization benefit of UGX 100,000 per day for 30 days. Should your condition deteriorate and you are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the hospitalization benefit will be increased to UGX 200,000 per day for 30 days. All this will be at no extra cost to you.

This allowance is part of our efforts to help you and your family worry less about daily expenses while you concentrate on the task of fully recovering, so that you can get back to the noble endeavour of working to ensure that the future of those you care about is secure. This cover is also extended to all our new clients, provided they are not already Covid-19 positive at the time of either taking out a policy or joining a Group Life or Group Medical scheme.
